NYC Mugging Victim Has Been Through It Before

The 39 year old New York City man who was attacked by 3 teenage muggers in Harlem on January 10th has been through it before as it turns out.
Morris Parks actually killed a man in 1994 under similar circumstances when that man tried to rob him. The killing was ruled a case of self defense and no charges were brought against him at the time.
In the attack he suffered earlier this month he recieved serious knife wounds that have landed him in the hospital. He is reported to be doing well and recovering from his injuries but is on medication to reduce the pain.
Mr. Parks, who is trained in marshal arts, managed to fend off an attack by 3 teens trying to rob him and in the process stabbed and killed a 4th person whom he may have mistaken for another mugger but who police are suspecting may have been a good samaritan trying to assist him. He has not been charged with any crime in fighting off this attack.
