Actor Wesley Snipes Headed For Tax Evasion Trial

The tax evasion trial of actor Wesley Snipes is set to go in Florida this month. Snipes, who has appeared in such movies as Money Train, Demloition Man, and The Art of War, had his lawyer make an unsuccessful attempt to have the trial moved out of Ocala County in Florida on the grounds that the jury pool there had been prejudiced against him due to pre-trial publicity. He also claimed that the area was a hot bed for Ku Klux Klan activity and that this would make it impossible for him to receive a fair trial there. The jury has been selected and is all white. The actor is accused by the government of evading paying taxes on 11 million dollars of income.
