Bush Administration Blocks Attempts To Regulate Cigarettes
According to the American Lung Association the Bush Administration has consistantly blocked efforts to tighten regulation of the tobacco industry and has done nothing to discourage smoking among Americans young or old. The A.L.S. is suggesting that the tobacco industry's heavy lobbying is influencing a good many politicians up on Capitol Hill to go easy on regulation of their industry. The A.L.S. is urging that the Congress give the Food and Drug Administration the authority to regulate tobacco.
