Health in America State by State

As far as the state of health in America goes these days there is both good news and bad. The good news is life expectancy is at an all time high of 78 years. The bad news is that the U.S. ranks 43rd worldwide in life expectancy.
Among the 50 states in the union as it turns out some are healthier than others. A group called The United Health Foundation undertook a study to determine which states are the healthiest to live in and which are not. Below is a list of the top ten most and least healthy according to their study:

10 healthiest states to live in:

1. Vermont
2. Minnesota
3. Hawaii
4. New Hampshire
5. Connecticut
6. Utah
7. Maine
8. North Dakota
9. Massechusetts
10. Nebraska

10 least healthy states:

1. Mississippi
2. Louisiana
3. Arkansas
4. Oklahoma
5. Tennessee
6. Alabama
7. West Virginia
8. Kentucky
9. South Carolina
10. Florida
