900 People Ride Subway Without Pants on In NYC

Over the weekend of January 12th a group calling itself Improv Everywhere pulled off a prank that they have been engaging in for 7 years and counting now. They say that they do it for fun and to provide the unsuspecting riders on the subways in New York City a little bit of levity. They take the trains from the Brooklyn Bridge Station to Union Square in Manhattan and back. Before they board the train all 900 of them, both men and women, take their pants off and undress down to their shorts and lingerie underwear. They report getting favorable reactions for the most part from the riding public but on occasion there is a look of bemusement from a subway rider or two.
